RockPort invests in a set of increasingly interrelated industries: Energy and Power, Advanced Materials, and Process and Prevention sectors. Many of the most interesting opportunities we see are best described by a convergence of two or more of these sectors: a material may enhance a process or improve energy efficiency; or a new process may lower a material input which increases efficiency and decreases energy usage. While such cross fertilization of disciplines is where many of the most exciting opportunities have emerged, we evaluate each opportunity on a stand-alone economic basis.
